We are actively seeking an enthusiastic, organised and ambitious Crew Administrator to support the fulfilment of our Crew services suite to our valued client base.

Job Title: Crew Administrator
Reporting To: Senior Crew Employment Specialist
Location: Douglas, Isle of Man
Job Type: Full time, permanent position

Main Purpose: 

  • Assist the Crew Administration team
  • Assist with input payments in to various online banking platforms
  • Assist with issuing of contracts of employment

Duties & Responsibilities:

Banking

  • Assist the Crew Employment Specialists with inputting payments to the banking platform

Marine Administration

  • Assisting with the maintenance of contractual arrangements with clients – particularly employment contracts
  • Assist with issuing of contracts of employment
  • Ensure monthly payrolls are processed accurately and on time
  • Maintenance of payroll systems and records
  • Liaise with employees, employers and clients on contractual, employment and payroll issues
  • Dealing with e-mail and telephone enquiries in a polite, professional and timely manner
  • Responsible for a small fleet of yachts
  • Monitor crew certificates and identify expired documents for replacement
  • General administrative duties
  • Assist with the implementation of a new Crew Management system
  • Assist with the clean-up of filing systems, making things more streamlined

Scope:

  • This is a full time, permanent position
  • Working hours are 9am to 5pm (35 hours a week)
  • 1 months’ notice during probationary period
  • 3 months’ notice after probationary period
  • Role is subject to a probationary period of 3 months

Qualifications & Experience: 

Essential

  • An enthusiastic team player with good research and administrative skills, superb attention to detail
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt

Desirable

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a professional environment
